HKC Self Service solution applied in Smart Library

Leverage RFID technology, Readers can easy borrow and return the books via self-service Kiosk inside library without any assistance. Even outside the library, there is self-service station provides an extra channel for readers such as working professionals to borrow books outside normal working hours. Readers can also pick up books they have requested from public libraries.

HK Smart retail solution offers facial recognitions or card access control entrance and exit gate, self-serve kiosks, interactive payment touch screen and stock take robot. Self-checkout kiosks allows shoppers to quickly scan, pay for and bag their items without having to wait in long lines. Stock take robot also allow store associates, who would have previously been responsible for operating a cash register or a stock taker to assist with customer service. Smart access control can also help redirect labor away from menial tasks in store (like keys cutting) to high-value tasks such as assisting customers.

"DiD Award" is the first large-scale international industrial design competition named after a city and sponsored by the People's Government of Dongguan City. It has been held once a year since 2005 and successfully held for 14 sessions. It has developed into one of the most well-known and influential events in the domestic industrial design field. Through the competition to select outstanding industrial design concepts, to provide new ideas for the transformation and upgrading of Dongguan's industry.

HKC has developed the artificial intelligence inventory robot “JiaJia” which has a preset automatic navigation and charging system to automate the previous troublesome book inventory process, contributing to an efficient, ideal and self-service library environment.

• We provide the 100 pcs of GPS tracker for DSD tracking their car location and it is using the Sigfox signal which it’s not a normal 3G or 4G GPS signal transfer. The GPS trackers are integrated with sigfox backend to retrieve the signal data.
• The accelerator inside the tracker will trigger the movement signal of the car and send the signal to Sigfox base station. DSD can retrieve the location data from sigfox backend and run it by formula for doing analysis.
• Sigfox is a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN); and is an inexpensive, reliable to connect sensors and devices.

The Sigfox protocol focuses on:

1. Autonomy with low energy consumption, allowing years of battery life.
2. Simplicity.  No configuration, connection request or signaling. Your device is up and running within minutes!
3. Cost efficiency.  From the hardware used in the devices to our network, we optimize every step to be as cost-effective as possible.
4. Small messages. No large assets or media allowed on the network, only small notifications: up to 12 bytes.
5. Complementarity.  Thanks to its low cost and ease of configuration, you can also use Sigfox as a secondary solution to any other type of network, e.g.: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, etc.

HKC is honored to be awarded by Hk Electric of its RFID Asset Management System. The system is developed to cater the following objectives:

• To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness on equipment and technical tools (check out/check in) process by using self-service workstation/kiosks.
• To Enhance stock take efficiency by leveraging RFID intrinsic advantages
• To Enhance physical security of equipment room and cybersecurity of the equipment load facility
• To record the borrow and return transactions, keep and generate necessary report

The proposed system is built on web based on premises approaching the check in and out tools and equipment process for site engineer.  Scope of work: included 10,000 devices and 5 equipment rooms.

 

SingComm has won the tender from Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore for the implementation of the IT Asset Tracking system using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to track up to 28,000 IT equipment specified by Authority to facilitate a more automated way for stocktaking and inventory tracking. There are 5 stores located at the Authority’s premises.

The projects scope is calls for the design, supply, configuration, testing and setup for the IT Asset Tracking System and the overall system architecture, design and sizing on the cloud hosting environment with subscription of the cloud services for 3 years.

To implement this RFID Asset Tracking System, the proposed system is we build the additional business-specific modules and user interfaces on top of Spotrack®, our core RFID tracking platform.  By building on modular, reusable and well-tested Spotrack® components, our approach results in a system that is cost effective, rapidly developed and highly maintainable for LTA.

This system are able to let’s user to gain visibility for keep a constant eye on checked in/out items, upcoming warranty expirations through our analytics feature and Shrink Maintenance Expenses to do the regular Asset Tracking Maintenance checks to reduce any possible defects of the IT assets, saving time and money on unexpected repairs. Also, Rapid Stock taking features to counting of on-hand inventory, identifying every item in stores, counting it and summarizing these quantities by item. There may also be a verification step, where the count results are compared to the inventory unit counts in a LTA database system.

 

HKC Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. awarded the supply of LIBRA Smart Library System of Shangqiu Normal University (Plain Road Campus and Liyang Campus) in July 2018 and 2019.

The project includes providing 5 self-check in and out stations, 7 mobile stock take trolleys, 2 sets of dual-channel security gates, 6 librarians' tagging stations, 7 elevating books-return bins and three-channels access control gate system.

Since the LIBRA Smart Library System was officially launched in two campus, its functions have met the requirements in quality and the performance is stable, safe and reliable.
