Hong Kong Communications has been participated the technology showcase event of MSX//IoT organized by Microsoft Hong Kong featuring IoT on 13, October 2016. For this showcase tour, HKC has demonstrated the RFID Tracking System, Healthcare solution and the Indoor Hydroponic technology system.

HKC’s RFID solution features in using a zero-touch asset management and inventory control to locate assets at anytime and anywhere. Valuable assets can be monitored keeping it safe and secure. In the case of abnormal movements, alerts and notifications will be sent out. The system is also able to generate reports for easy asset management and control. With this, efficiency and productivity of firms are both improved.

Moreover, HKC also offers an eHealth solution backed by a range of patient monitoring devices which linked with our patient healthcare platform to improve the quality of patient care, safety and service delivery service. The indoor hydroponic system of HKC is Hong Kong’s first smart system with home-grown hydroponic gardening for consumers to enjoy a complete growing system via IoT connectivity over the Internet. The system named “Farmergotchi” is designed particularly for families with elderly members at home as well as retirees looking for a quality, healthy home lifestyle, and treasure to stay in close touch with family and friends.

HKC has participated Smart City Week – Smart City Exhibition which is organized by Energizing Kowloon East Office (EKEO) from November 7 – 13 at Fly the Flyover 01, 122 Hoi Bun Road, Kwun Tong.

The event is organized by Energizing Kowloon East Office (EKEO) which aims to build a smart city leveraging people-centric and technology-focused solutions to increase efficiency of city operation and management, to improve quality of life and to strengthen economic competitiveness. HKC has been invited to participate in the event and has showcased our Aging-in-Place solution at Smart Health zone and Farmergotchi at Smart Environment zone. Guests from District Council Members, media, IT Professionals & Academics and Built environment & other professional organizations and stakeholders has joined the event which show their interest to both our solutions. It is a good opportunity for us to engage and build industry network with our potential customers.

Tianjin transportation vocational college, which was originally established in 1953 and merged 4 colleges directly subordinated to Tianjin Department of Transportation into 1 in March, 2002.

HKC awarded the supply and installation contract of the Fingerprint and Access control for HK JEBN Limited, which is one of the pioneers of upper floor shop for ready to eat food (bird's nests, cordyceps, sea cucumbers and dried abalones and other dried seafood along with herbal tonics) in Hong Kong. The security of their expensive food is highly concerned in HK JEBN, they appreciated our reliable access control products and good services and they will use our products and service for their new shops.

HKC has been awarded Official Receiver's Office (ORO) for RFID Asset Management System and Document Tracking System. The system designs to track and manage of ORO files, to track and manage of inventory of ORO asset items and their books. The user can locate the specified ORO items by using mobile device and has different access rights to perform different operations. Besides, the system can create, delete or update function for managing the item and the stock take function can allow the user to count the files, books and inventory items accurately when there is discrepancy, an alert will be sent to the user for notification.

SingComm is honored to be awarded by UBM SES (SES) provision of People Tracking System in CommunicAsia 2017 at in Marina Bay Sands Exhibition Hall which will be held from May 23 – 25, 2017. UBM SES (SES) is one of Asia’s most innovative and respected trade event organizers which has organized some of Asia’s top international trade exhibitions and conferences.

SES has applied SingComm People Tracking System in 2013 and has received a satisfaction feedback from the customer that they agreed the system is simple yet practical. In 2017, SingComm has been invited to deploy the People Tracking System in CommunicAsia 2017 Exhibition. Besides counting the number of visitors to visit the exhibition, SES will apply the system to track the number of visitors that has visited each booth by placing a ground mat antennas, when the visitor pass through the ground mat, the tag associated to the lanyards will be detected and it enable SES to track the traffic of each booth. SES can check the data from their mobile devices (tablets, iPhone, iPads, Android, etc) which they can receive the real-time information anytime and anywhere.

The Home Hydroponic System of Farmergotchi and its mini version were available on sale in AEON STYLE Plaza at Kornhill and the Organic Food Retail Store Green Common from November 2016 to March 2017. HKC self-developed Smart Soil for Farmergotchi can release nutrient automatically along the growing period of the plants and compared to traditional hydroponics, it greatly simplifies the home gardening process. This new technology for home gardening makes good use of ICT to strengthen our market competitiveness. After all, we are in process of increasing more sales channels for Farmergotchi.

Chan Shing Kee, one of the leading worldwide antique dealers in Chinese classic furniture and works of art has applied our RFID-based check-in and check-out solution in over 20 sites. As most of their furniture and antiques are in different shapes and sizes, they need to have a reliable solution to locate their valuable assets accurately, also the client requests us to stick the tag properly without letting their customer to notice it which is also a challenge for us. The solution has helped Chan Shing Kee to track the furniture and antique with all check-in/ check-out transactions, it enhance the process workflow and reduce the time required to locate the furniture and antique. Besides, a detailed report will be generated for easy asset management and control.

The night sky fascinates almost everyone. HKC awarded the contract to improve the optical cameras for better film show of Hong Kong Space Museum. The new camera is able to capture 4K (3,840 x 2,160) video with exceptional detail in moonless clear night sky observation.
