The project required close collaboration from DTPE, LMS (Library Management System) vendor and the client. Singcomm (Wavex) provides the new version of our Library System software, LIBRA3, along with hardware devices and technical support for dual lane UHF RFID EAS security gantry, multipurpose front desk station, tagging station, handheld reader and RFID tags. The project also required close integration by our software team with a new Library Management System (LMS) and customization for our partners market. A particularly positive outcome from this project was the effective teamwork from Singcomm (Wavex) operations and software teams with DTPE. DTPE working team was trained by Singcomm in Singapore, and implemented the system for the client in Vietnam, thus saving the end client cost. This was made possible in part by the LIBRA3 capabilities of quick remote deployment and integrated and pre-configured nature of the hardware devices, but also DTPE's quick adoption and proactive learning. DTPE deployed the UHF library system for the University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU), which is a component of the Thai Nguyen University (TNU). TNU was formed as a part of the new development plan for higher education reform in Vietnam. TNU is known as one of the major regional universities in Vietnam, located in Thai Nguyen City the university currently has enrollment strength of about 29,000 students. The library is newly renovated and houses a collection size of 40,000 books and looks to use technology as a backbone of its operations.
