Hong Kong Communications Co. Ltd (HKC) had successfully
held the HKC Solution Day in Annapurna Room, Pacific
Place, at 11 December 2009. HKC is one of the major
telecommunication equipment and solution providers.
In this event, HKC demonstrated several products ranging
from Home Automation, commercial system solution, to
other advanced home and office technologies, attracted
groups of enthusiasts to experience the technologies
in person.
The highlights of the Solution Day were the HA Express,
i-Green Home and Security and i-Video Door Phone demonstration,
where visitors were able to experience the care, comfort,
convenience and connectivity the system had brought.
The 2nd generation home automation controller - HA
Express, had drawn the attention of the visitors with
its total wireless design, as well as its fascinating
outlook. Users may control the home devices using 26-key
RF remote control; from the wall-mount RF faceplate,
via a software client interface, or most sophisticatedly
through a voice-activated control.
Beside the HA Express, we had demonstrated new HA features
integrating with DSC alarm system. We added value to
the existing alarm system by displaying user's floor
plan on the software client interface. When an alarm
is triggered, user can easily visualize the hot zone
and an IP camera associated with that zone will pop
up to show video images. In cooperation with the home
automation system, home appliances such as lighting
can be turned on to scare the intruder and enhance home
safety. When the alarm is not activated, the sensors
will become green home sensors to help save energy,
turning on and off the programmed home devices such
as lighting or air-con, depending on whether the rooms
are occupied.
Lastly, the video door phone solution had been shown
together with a club house booking system, memo alert
and wireless door phone. Collectively they create a
paperless property management operation to help save
the environment.
Apart from the main focus, we had also demonstrated
megapixel camera and XML IP telephony system. Presentations
had been given to visitors to introduce the features
and benefits of all the demonstrated solutions.
