HKC RFID Solutions for City
University of Hong Kong Multimedia Library
HKC has been awarded the tender of the City University
of Hong Kong RFID Library. Items are basically the tender
items plus 2 optional items and 3 jobs of services. HKC
will provide Library RFID Automation System (LIBRA
) for CityU.
Library RFID Automation System (LIBRA) system employs Radio Frequency IDentification
(RFID) technology to facilitate better library material
management that benefits both library staff and patrons.
The LIBRA
system works in conjunction with the Library Management
System or Library Automation System. RFID Tags. Wavex's
LIBRA
is a Library RFID Automation System built and designed
with experience librarians whom have implemented RFID
library system successfully. The LIBRA
system integrates seamlessly into existing library operation
and provides the library with reasonable visibility
and management of the library process.
HKC will provide LIBRA
for CD/DVD of CityU multimedia library. Following is

Enhance security for RFID/EM Library for CD/DVD
or other media storage
Allows open shelves concept for CD/DVD materials
Increases loan transactions on CD/DVD materials
