RFID Seminar on “Improve Business Profitability from RFID, Middleware to ERP”

In today’s competitive and ever-changing marketplace, staying ahead of the latest technology for business is a key to succeed. Together with the effort of GS1 Hong Kong, Hong Kong Communications Equipment Co. Ltd (HKC) co-organized a RFID seminar on “Improve Business Profitability from RFID, Middleware to ERP” on September 19, 2006 (Tue).

The seminar started with an opening and welcome address from Mr. Vincent So, Business Manager of GS1 Hong Kong, and Mr. Hubert Chan, Chairman & CEO of HKC. After the induction of the development and market trend of RFID from the experts from GS1 Hong Kong, Mr. Samuel Ng from Singcomm, one of HKC’s overseas subsidiaries, demonstrated HKC’s expertise in RFID business solutions by some promising RFID projects and business case studies from national firms.

Two of our RFID partners from Alien and Zebra had also shared supply chain case studies in the US and Europe. To explain the effectiveness of the integration of RFID Middleware, Mr. Patrick Frost, Director of Marketing from epcSolutions, Inc. had shared his valuable experiences in the seminar. Mr. Charles Lam then shared how to effectively integrate RFID middleware to enhance ERP system with RFID solution. Finally, the seminar was closed with a very fruitful product demonstration and Q & A session.

The seminar was a great success which attracted over 50 participants from logistics and manufacturing industries interested in implementing RFID solutions in their business. Interactive discussion between the speakers and the participants were addressed, and the importance and awareness of RFID business solutions were successfully raised.

Over 50 participants from logistics and manufacturing industries joined the seminar and filled up the entire conference room.

HKC’s RFID expertise had been demonstrated by a series of projects and case studies followed by a live product demonstration to close the seminar.
